Monday - at last we are at the hotel in Cairo and normal service is resumed as we now have the Internet. Hooray.

We have a lovely room now overlooking the pyramids. What a view. I'll upload photos later.  The first room we were given opened onto a pleasant enough area but it seemed very dark so we asked to be moved. We were then given a Pyramids view room so no complaints.

Cairo is a big city, ver noisy, very dusty and hundreds and hundreds of high raise apartment blocks which are packed so close together that you wonder how they manage to live.

Off for a wander now.
